- Course Outcomes: By the end of this course, participants will be able to implement inclusive and affirming best practices:
- Define neurodiversity, neurodivergence, and the social model of disability.
- Understand what autism or neurodivergence is, along with the key differences in sensory perception, communication, and thinking processes.
- Identify the barriers autistic job seekers encounter when searching for suitable positions and thriving at work.
- Utilize neuro-affirming, clear, and concise language during interviews and interactions, as well as in job descriptions.
- Apply an unbiased perspective when screening and matching autistic candidates to appropriate job placements.
- Collaborate with autistic and neurodivergent job seekers or employees to ensure the implementation of effective inclusive culture practices throughout the company.
