    Autistic Experiences at Work

Understanding and Supporting Neurodivergent Employees in the Workplace

    Presented by Maisie Soetantyo

In today's diverse workplace, it’s essential to recognize and address the unique challenges faced by autistic employees. This presentation explores four key areas where autistic individuals may encounter difficulties: sensory sensitivities, which can make certain environments overwhelming; information processing challenges that may impact task comprehension and response time; executive functioning struggles affecting organization and time management; and navigating social interactions, which can sometimes lead to miscommunication or misunderstanding. By understanding these challenges, employers and hiring managers can create more inclusive, supportive environments that unlock the full potential of their autistic team members.
